It is with great honour and pleasure that I welcome you to the 2016 Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association (FASAVA) in the beautiful green city of Kuala Lumpur.
The Scientific Programme Committee has developed an outstanding programme for FASAVA 2016. This programme contains contributions from leading veterinarians around the world who serve as coordinators, chairs, moderators and speakers.
Besides the scientific programme, a rich cultural programme has been planned to give you an unforgettable experience in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Furthermore in 2016, we have adopted a green policy programme coordinated by MyCeb , whereby we have agreed to donate proceeds from the event to the planting of trees in Malaysia. We have also adopted a policy of minimal printing to keep this congress in line with the green movement.
We are expecting to exceed 1500 delegates with veterinarians participating predominantly from regional countries. The scientific session will cover 17 fields of interest, with over 50 sessions per day over 3 days; presented by 23 internationally recognised speakers. You will certainly be busy attending the most relevant and compelling sessions during our congress.
In line with the Malaysian themes “Visit Malaysia 2014” and “Malaysia… Truly Asia”, we hope that the delegates will have a unique opportunity to experience the wealth of cultures and customs in Malaysia and visit some of our world renown touristic attractions. Some of which are at walking distance!
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the excellence of the FASAVA 2016 Scientific Programme, and thank you for the privilege to serve MSAVA in the capacity as the organising chairman. My heart felt gratitude to Dr Remo Lobetti, Dr Reto Neiger and the FASAVA committee, who led us and helped us in so many ways.
We hope you will enjoy your stay and the experience of Malaysian hospitality.
